Tamil is one of the 7 classical languages of the world with continuous and vibrant literary history which continues to this day. Tamil Sangam literature, most of it being over 2,000 years old, is our earliest literature, stemming from ancient oral poetry. The literature is a vast storehouse of information about a way of living in ancient Tamil Nadu. Yet, the global reach of Tamil literature is so limited.

Tamil Chair Inc, was founded in September 2015 as a tax-exempt Non-Profit organization with a mission of establishing Tamil Studies Chairs in the Top Educational institutions word-wide and promoting activities related to Tamil education & research.
